Marina Pier’s Umbrella Lights installation is delighting families once again, brightening up the popular dining precinct.
From now to mid-September, 14 umbrella-shaped light displays feature cool white lighting frames and glowing blue lights filling in as colour. The fifth year of Umbrella Lights brings with it dining offers, some revealed and others yet to be announced.
Mathew Lavelle, Marina Pier Marketing Coordinator, says winters at the pier bring heartwarming meals and cosy drinks among dining venues and local retail outlets.
“Winter evenings at Marina Pier are filled with sumptuous dining experiences, amplified by the beautiful Umbrella Lights display which adds a radiant ambience to the area,” Mathew says. “Our local business owners warmly welcome visitors to Marina Pier with their special offers and warm hospitality.”
Ellenika Ocean Grill leads the way in offers during the Umbrella Lights season, highlighting their hearty moussaka as part of a midweek deal. Every Wednesday, diners can enjoy a serve of moussaka for $20 – a 50 per cent saving on regular pricing. Made fresh and served piping hot, enjoy layers of tender eggplant, potato, seasoned beef ragu and creamy béchamel sauce. It’s a dish perfectly paired with a glass of red wine in hand. Ellenika also does chef-made take-away meals for $16.90, with orders over $100 eligible for free delivery. Choose from traditional or vegetarian moussaka, or pastitsio – a traditional Greek baked pasta.
