Highly acclaimed O’Connell Street restaurant, Yakisan, will challenge Adelaide’s early dining culture this May, launching NIGHTCHA – a late-night supper club designed for those who aren’t ready to go home after dinner.Running every Friday and Saturday from 10pm to midnight, NIGHTCHA introduces a new way to eat, drink, and socialise.
Yakisan Director, Nate Scutter, says always wanting to innovate is what helps create memorable experiences.
“We’re continuing to build momentum thanks to evolving our dining concepts,” says Nate. “NIGHTCHA is our tribute to food culture seen across Asia and this supper club will see a mix of indulgent highlights and playful dishes.“There’s nothing quite like this in Adelaide, and we are excited to create a space where people can come for great food, drinks, and a bit of energy later in the night.”Inspired by late-night dining cultures across Asia, NIGHTCHA transforms Yakisan into a high-energy supper club, pairing elevated dishes with a more relaxed, social atmosphere. The late-night menu leans into indulgence – think champagne, caviar, nigiri, and hand rolls, alongside playful offerings such as a luxury cheeseburger designed for after-hours dining.Following a strong first six months of operation, Yakisan continues to evolve its offering, with NIGHTCHA marking the next step in building a more dynamic, experience-led venue. A vision to commit to interactive dining experiences is driven by a team of seasoned industry experts.
Yakisan opened to blend artistry and community, excelling in grilled dishes through theatre and reverence for flavour. Sister bakehouse SANI combines French craft, Asian soul and Australian heart and specializes in shokupan (Japanese milk bread). With limited late-night dining options across the city, NIGHTCHA is set to become a go-to destination for the industry, locals, and night owls alike.
