A world-first fusion of art, gastronomy and technology has arrived in Adelaide, with 7 Paintings taking up an exclusive six-month residency at Crowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes.
Originating in Germany, the globally celebrated dining experience transforms a traditional meal into a two-and-a-half-hour immersive journey. Guests are taken through seven curated courses, each inspired by some of history’s most influential artists, blending storytelling, projection and flavour into one unforgettable evening.Already captivating audiences in Melbourne and Brisbane, 7 Paintings now lands in Adelaide, delivering a multi-sensory experience where dining becomes theatre and guests become part of the show.
Faisal Sayed, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes, says the experience brings something truly new to the South Australian market.
“This is more than dinner, it’s a journey into a magical, immersive world where every course tells a story,” says Faisal. “We’re proud to bring such a unique and innovative experience to Adelaide and showcase our hotel as its exclusive home.”At the heart of the experience is Chef KG, whose creativity and precision bring each artistic concept to life on the plate. Known for his innovative approach and attention to detail, Chef KG has worked closely with the 7 Paintings concept to craft dishes that not only reflect each artist’s style but also showcase the best of local South Australian produce.
The hotel’s Level 4 meeting and events space will be transformed into an immersive dining environment five nights a week, enhanced by projection, music and interactive storytelling. Each course unfolds as a visual and culinary moment, where colours, textures and flavours seamlessly intertwine.
The journey begins with Michelangelo, featuring a wild mushroom and cashew cream mousse tart with bush tomato gel and asil caviar. Guests are then guided through artistic expressions inspired by Banksy, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí and Vincent van Gogh.
Native ingredients such as Davidson plum and premium Australian produce, including line-caught barramundi, feature throughout the menu. Along the way, guests are invited to paint, solve puzzles and engage with the experience, creating a shared journey of creativity, flavour and connection.Tickets start from $179 per person, with the experience running until September 2026.
