Tantalising desserts paired with cocktail blends are the focus of Adelaide’s latest foodie event from the revived Marion Hotel.
The recently refurbished establishment will host Treat Yo’Self Dessert; a cocktail and dessert degustation on Friday March 19, presenting four of the city’s most luscious sweets.
Across two-and-a-half hours, the four courses will consist of a dessert with a carefully matched cocktail.
Manager of the Marion Hotel, Anna Hurley, says there are tastes to suit anyone with a sweet tooth.
“We’d really love to see newcomers to the Marion Hotel who haven’t experienced the venue before,” says Anna.
“There will be tastes from lavender to white chocolate and passionfruit… be adventurous and try something new.”
The cocktails have a local twist, created with the help of locals Prohibition Liquor Co and Mad Monkey Distilling.
Anna says they were the right experts for the job to create the perfect tastes they needed to compliment the desserts for Treat Yo’Self.
“We love working with other local businesses and incorporating local produce, so our chefs had a great time working with Prohibition Liquor Co and Mad Monkey Distilling to create the degustation menu,“ says Anna.
Marion Hotel’s $20 million refurbishment in 2019 led to multiple wins at the 2020 AHA/SA Hotel Industry Awards, held last month.
Its swag of awards led with the Best Overall Hotel in South Australia award, as well as Best Outdoor or Non-Enclosed Facility, Best Gaming Venue – Metropolitan, and Best Redeveloped Hotel – Metropolitan.
Bookings are available for pairs or larger groups, the latter encouraged in the spirit of enjoying the varied tastes on offer.
