Renowned South Australian seafood retailer Angelakis Bros has opened its first stall at the Adelaide Central Market.
From today, one of the state’s most well-known fishmongers opens its doors at Stall 5 and 6 with a brand new Mediterranean inspired fit-out, offering the freshest local and Australian seafood, value-added products and a range of smoked fish, poultry and ready-to-eat products.
Customers can expect a new menu of hot and cold seafood options including sashimi, poke bowls, fish tacos and fresh oysters and a signature fish and chips.
To celebrate its official opening, Angelakis Bros will have a number of specials in the week leading up to Christmas including fresh local Southern Rock lobster at $79.95 per kilo.
“South Australians can expect a whole new seafood experience and a fantastic range of local seasonal seafood products to enjoy. We are delighted to welcome Angelakis Bros to our Market,” said Adelaide Central Market Authority General Manager Jodie Kannane.
Angelakis Bros and Barossa Fine Foods CEO Andreas Knoll said Angelakis Bros was anticipating a roaring trade at its new Market location this Christmas, projecting to sell more than 1.2 metric tonnes of SA prawns.
“We’re looking forward to our very first festive season at the Adelaide Central Market and we are ready to supply families with all of their Christmas seafood ahead of the big day!” he said.
“Our new Market store will be stocking all of the popular locally sourced Christmas products that our customers know and love including SA king prawns, Southern Rock lobster and oysters from the West Coast of SA. We’ll also have poultry, including turkey. In addition to our fresh seafood offer, we are very excited to be showcasing our new menu of ‘grab and go’ seafood options, made from our favourite SA seafood.”
“We encourage people to get in early for all their Christmas seafood requirements as we’re expecting to sell more during this period with more families choosing to stay at home.”
Established in 1960, Angelakis Bros is an Australian family-owned and operated company dedicated to delivering the finest seafood.
