Two of South Australia’s favourite sweet treats, Violet Crumble and Krispy Kreme, have joined forces to launch a new range of products to be sold through OTR stores across the state from today.
Developed over the past few months, Krispy Kreme will launch two new doughnuts – Violet Crumble Shatter and Violet Crumble Kreme – which will be sold individually or in a 4-pack box.
The Violet Crumble Shatter is a double chocolate coated shell doughnut topped with shards of shattered Violet Crumble and filled with a delicious honeycomb cream filling.
The Violet Crumble Kreme is a twist on the signature Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut with a honeycomb glaze and topped with honeycomb kreme a large piece of the iconic Violet Crumble.
OTR will launch a range of exclusive C-Coffee Violet Crumble hot drinks including a Violet Crumble Hot Chocolate and Violet Crumble Mocha Latte, while Moe’s will launch a Moe’s Violet Crumble Shake. OTR stores will also stock a special 30g Violet Crumble bar for only $1.
South Australians will be able to pick up these new mouth-watering treats even more easily following the roll-out of Krispy Kreme doughnuts to all 150 OTR stores across the state, open 24/7 for added convenience so that customers are never too far away from delicious doughnuts.
Krispy Kreme SA General Manager Mark Higginbottom said this marks an exciting partnership with an iconic South Australian made chocolate brand, another exclusive for Krispy Kreme.
“We’re always innovating and creating new products to give our customers new ways of experiencing and enjoying Krispy Kreme doughnuts,” said Mr Higginbottom.
“Our team has been working closely with Robern Menz over the past few months on developing and refining the products ready to launch to ensure that we capture what people love most about Krispy Kreme and Violet Crumble in the new doughnuts.”
“These new products are 100 percent South Australian with the Violet Crumbles manufactured at Robern Menz’s factory in Glynde and the doughnuts are made at our factory store at West Croydon,” concluded Mr Higginbottom.
Robern Menz has invested heavily in Violet Crumble since acquiring the brand from Nestle in 2018, moving production from Melbourne to South Australia, and in process introducing 24 hour production and creating a further 40 local jobs.
The company has expanded the Violet Crumble range and increased distribution into new outlets, which includes partnership with Krispy Kreme and OTR.
Robern Menz Marketing Manager, Polly Love says, “We are delighted to be launching this new exciting collaboration between Australia’s Violet Crumble and Krispy Kreme South Australia.”
“Violet Crumble has long been a fan favourite across the country used at home in creative and unique recipes bringing that delicious signature Choc Honeycomb flavour to cakes, ice cream and biscuits, but these doughnuts take it to the next level for lucky South Australians. The only problem will be which one to choose,” concluded Ms Love.
