Adelaide’s iconic ‘James Squire Brew Bar’ restaurant has undergone a major transformation for Summer 2017!
The Curious Squire has always been known for its heavily American influenced menu items but has decided to move onto the modern Australian dining scene with a brand new weekend breakfast menu to coincide with their fifth birthday.
This weekend, we were invited to sample some of their new breakfast dishes where Head Chef, Hien Nguyen, proved he’s not just a one-trick-pony!
“We saw the opportunity to offer weekend breakfast now that the weather is getting warmer again,” Hien says.
The weekend breakfast menu now offers dishes such as the healthy Smoothie Bowl, Asian-inspired Crab Scrambled Eggs, and Vegetarian Pumpkin Hummus. Of course, their ingredients are locally sourced from Goodwood Bakery, Boulangerie 113, and seasonal produce supplier, AM.
Our favourites of the day included their unique French Toast Dumplings served with deliciously creamy hazelnut gelati, summer berries, honeycomb, brown sugar, and maple glaze, and the melt-in-your-mouth Breakfast Gnocchi served with poached egg, spicy n’duja, tomato sugo, and mascarpone cheese.
This new menu transformation goes hand-in-hand with their recently implemented pet-friendly policy. That’s right! You can now bring your best friend to The Curious Squire for brekky to enjoy their famous Woof Burger or a spot of Rocky Road for dessert from their Curious Paws menu!
With the warmer weather, North Adelaide’s blooming jacarandas, and friendly dogs, The Curious Squire has certainly made itself a major contender for weekend breakfast spots!
The Curious Squire is open 4pm-11pm Tuesday, 12pm til late Wednesday-Friday, and 8am til late Saturday-Sunday. Breakfast is only available on weekends.
