Mekko Market & Cafe have just released their delicious, new winter menu. Full of incredible flavours and amazing aromas, Mekko always outdoes itself when it comes to new seasonal menus.

This is the most perfect Reuben we’ve ever had! The ratio of sauerkraut, corned beef, pickles, swiss cheese and russian dressing is spot on, and encapsulated within two buttered and toasted pieces of sourdough bread. This was the perfect way to start the meal.

Something new and Scandinavian to the menu is the Finnish Makkarakastike. Try saying that more than once! It’s a vibrantly coloured sausage stew that is topped off with a fried egg and perfect for the winter months.

The delicious potato and celeriac Fish Cakes will satisfy your seafood cravings. The fish is soft and delicate, and coated in a light and well seasoned coating. Served with fennel puree, lemon roasted brussel sprouts, dill sour cream, poached eggs, pickled red cabbage and crispy kale, there’s a whole range of contrasting flavours and textures that will keep your taste buds dancing.

We absolutely love the variation to the Eggs Benedict each season. This winter, it comes with braised ham hocks, spinach, pear compote and tarragon hollandaise on a slice of sourdough. It’s amazingly delicious and a must have when visiting Mekko.

Mekko’s Buttermilk Pancakes are sure to quickly become a customer favourite with their delicious sweetness, infatuating aromas and gorgeous plate arrangement. Served with pistachio diplomat cream, caramelised banana, fresh fruits, toasted coconut and chocolate sauce, this dish is the perfect combination of rich sweetness and fresh fruitiness.
