The ‘Feel Good Friday’ Twilight Sessions are returning to Newenham Adelaide Hills on the first Friday
of the month in February, March, and April 2020.
Since December 2017, the family-friendly ‘Feel Good Friday’ Twilight Sessions have involved a range
of fun activities for kids while offering a place for adults to relax and unwind on a Friday evening in the
beautiful natural environment of Newenham.
On 7 February, Market Night will feature a variety of vendors selling local and handmade treasures.
There’ll be live music throughout the night along with plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained.
Ink Pot Arts will also perform a sneak peek of their new Fringe show “Jack & Jill and the Beanstalk – An
Environmental Tale.”
On 6 March, join the Newenham family to celebrate the great artists and performers of the Adelaide
Hills with their Arts & Entertainment night. Enjoy the Hill’s entertainers as well as local live music and
fun activities for the kids. There will also be local food and wine to treat everyone’s taste buds while
enjoying all that this evening will bring.
On 3 April, Feel Good Friday will be in full spring with the Easter Celebrations event. With a range of
Easter activities and chocolate surprises, there’ll be plenty to satisfy kids’ (and parents’) cravings, as
well as the usual live entertainment, tasty treats and the community environment that Newenham is fast
becoming known for.
These ‘Feel Good Friday’ events allow Adelaide Hills’ residents and visitors to delight in a range of
local food from Hens Paella, Two Fat Blokes Pizza, WaffleStix and Wendy Jane’s Cheese Platters, as
well as local beverages from Prancing Pony Brewery, The Gin Gypsy and more, all while enjoying local
live music under the shade of the trees in this beautiful pocket of the Adelaide Hills.
Burke Urban’s Sales and Marketing Director, Olivia Burke, said, “We are thrilled to be bringing our ‘Feel
Good Friday’ Twilight Series back for the Newenham and local Mount Barker community to enjoy in
2020. These events give our community the unique opportunity to relax in our beautiful natural
environment, while showcasing local food, drink and entertainment.”
“Feel Good Fridays are just one piece of what makes Newenham such a special place to live and grow
with your family. They are a great way to start the weekend and shake off the stress of a busy week.
After the twilight session is over, the tree-lined streets guide our residents on a peaceful walk back
home, keeping them surrounded by nature, while the local community can enjoy a leisurely two
kilometre walk along the new Linear Park path back into the Mount Barker town centre,” continued
Olivia.
Newenham is a 150-hectare, 750 home, master-planned community developed by Burke Urban
and will become home to some 2000 residents over the next 10 years. The only master-planned
development in the Adelaide Hills focussing on large blocks, with an average lot size of 734m2, this,
alongside the premium location, the naturally beautiful environment and focus on timeless design,
makes Newenham something special.
“Our community are owner-occupiers who are truly seeking a place to, live, grow and connect with
other people in their community. We are blessed with a beautiful range of natural assets including the
Western Flat creek which runs through the heart of Newenham, hundreds of existing trees, the original
homestead and cottages, plus the authentic heritage and naming of the site,” continued Olivia.
There are also a range of other initiatives which will be delivered in the coming years including the
Newenham Farm and market café, the retail and shopping precinct, and Kings Baptist Grammar
School’s second campus.
“Newenham Adelaide Hills, has been designed to support the health, happiness, and wellbeing of all
who visit or choose to call it home. The only way you can really get a sense of how Newenham is
different from every other development is to visit it for yourself,” Olivia concluded.
