What’s better to do with your Sunday morning than to cook?! We visited My Kitchen Rules’ Lauren Finelli at the Golden Grove Village Shopping Centre’s Home Fresh kitchen, where Lauren plans to eventually film some of her future YouTube videos.
We decided to try our hand at pasta making with Lauren’s Pasta Making for Beginners class where we were taught how to make three different pastas from scratch: bow tie, pappardelle, and infused squid-ink fettucine.
Lauren walked us through a simple, foolproof, four ingredient dough recipe to whip up guaranteed delicious pasta. With only enough space for up to ten people per class, we received a one-on-one lesson where Lauren was there to help us through every step of the way – even when our pasta dough almost failed!
To our surprise, the actual cooking process of the pasta took no time and we were sampling our very own homemade dishes as we prepped for the next one!
The finished products included Napoletana bow ties, mixed mushroom pappardelle, and black and white infused squid-ink fettucine with vongole.
