Double Shot Coffee Fiesta is BACK! Now, in its 5th year, The City of Unley bring you more family-friendly activities, an extensive range of gourmet food offerings and a HUGE 20+ line up of local coffee roasters, cafes, baristas and suppliers in the industry offering the best of the best coffee-related goodness! Truly one of Australia’s top coffee calendar events!

We caught up with the guys from SOHO Coffee Roasters and Hains & Co this week for a wicked cocktail/coffee mash-up featuring SOHO’s most popular “DarkHorse” blend.

Cocktail #1 Cold drip Negroni – An iconic Italian cocktail, with the Hains and Co twist. One part DarkHorse, one part Ounce Gin, one part Vermouth and one part Campari, garnished with orange peel!

Cocktail #2 Espresso Dark and Stormy – Just as you’d imagine. Dark…and stormy. With a combination of house rum, ginger beer, fresh lime and the perfect balance of subtle cocoa, raisin and tart raspberry acidity from the SOHO coffee addition. We love the theatrics of this drink, plus the smokey finish!

Cocktail #3 Espresso Martini – Featuring Applewood Espressocello with its intense coffee-hit, vanilla, chocolate and citrus characteristics.

You will find Marcus and the team from Hains & Co at this year’s Double Shot Coffee Fiesta serving up some expertly mixed cocktails! An absolute treat to watch the guys in action shaking, stirring and serving!

Not only will there be amazing coffee stalls, cocktails, gourmet food, beats by DJ Ruby Chew, BUT a good old-fashioned SMACKDOWN! Well.. not entirely. We mean a family friendly, barista, PG version for everyone to enjoy! The Australian Specialty Coffee Association’s Western Region State Championships brings amazing talent, year-long practice and precise flavour production for an overall, champion of coffee!

Keep an eye out for your fave local barista’s as they also take the stage and show off their late art and skills behind the machine! Who will win!??

A fantastic family and pet-friendly event, held at Soldiers Memorial Garden on the 4th of November from 10am! Support not only your local coffee spot but the roasters, the dairy farmers, the designers, packaging companies and appreciate the passion behind the journey from bean to cup!
