One of the newest (and most successful) takeaway noodle joints in Adelaide from the past few years is Bakmi Lim.
The eatery has recently launched a new dinner menu (only available at Waymouth St store) which brings some exciting new dishes to the menu including some new noodle dishes, Korean Chicken Wings, and Fried Chicken Skin.
Owner, David Lim, named the business after the Indonesian word for noodle, ‘bakmi’, and David’s surname, ‘Lim’, and now has two stores open on Adelaide’s Waymouth Street as well as in the Rundle Place food court.
Having grown up in Jakarta, Indonesia, David has always loved eating noodles, with delicious noodle shops on every corner of his street.
Taking inspiration from his father, Bakmi Lim’s slogan, ‘Everything from scratch’, certainly rings true as their noodles are handmade by the Bakmi Lim chefs, setting them apart from the other takeaway Asian eateries in the area.
We could certainly taste the difference, especially in their Noodle with Tofu Mushroom dish with the noodles, not only bursting in flavour from the soup, but the perfect consistency and texture, too!
“Delivering a delicious dish is one thing, consistently delivering a delicious dish is another. Consistency is the key.” David says.
And the verdict’s in – the dishes were definitely consistently delicious!
Bakmi Lim has two locations in Adelaide’s CBD. The original Waymouth Street location is open Monday-Friday 11am-8:30pm and Saturday 12pm-8:30pm. The Rundle Place food court location is open every day 11am-5pm, except Friday, where they are open late until 9pm.
