Shout out to all the Gin lovers out there! For the next few weeks Electra House are joining forces with the Adelaide Fringe to be the official Fringe Gin Garden and Adelaide Food Central stopped by this week for a few drinks to see what it’s all about.
Each day a different Gin and Tonic will be showcased for only $8. There are 22 Gins on the list for this event with a focus on those locally produced. What a great way to try a Gin you’ve always wanted to or step out of your comfort zone and try something different like we did with the Elephant Sloe Gin that was the tipple of the day.
To add to the experience Electra has created a “Gin Garden” of various garnishes that are freshly picked when you order. Pots of familiar garnishes like thyme, rosemary, coriander and mint and the unfamiliar such as strawberry myrtle surround the bar and seating areas. You can choose your garnish or be guided by the knowledgeable bar staff.
The Gin Garden is open every day until March 17. To help with your planning here is a list of the showcased Gin’s still to come.
