Burgertec – Grange

Burgertec is the new hip venue to recently open up on Grange Road and is the perfect place to satisfy your hunger cravings, especially if you are a burger lover.

Partner of Hustle Coffee Co., Burgertec, despite only now being open for four weeks, is already booming with customers.

Young owner Stephen Tzanakis, aims to create hearty and flavourful food that anyone can enjoy.

Having over ten different styled burgers on their menu, both chicken and beef, with a wide range of sides and extras to add, Burgertec is able to please any type of eater.

While there we tried the Casanova burger. With Southern-Fried Chicken, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheese, Crispy Bacon and Smokey BBQ Sauce. This burger was full of flavour; the crispy skin on the fried chicken and the bacon were perfectly combined with the smokiness of the meat as well as the sweet sauce.

Next was the All Star burger. With a ground Angus Beef Patty, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheese, Crispy Bacon, Egg, Beetroot, Caramelised Onion and Herbed Mayo. This burger had a slight smoke flavour due to the crispy bacon but had a lovely added sweetness to the dish from the onion and beetroot, which tied the whole dish together.

The Hunky Dory burger with Southern-Fried Chicken, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheese, Avocado and Chipotle Mayo was a lovely surprise, as you don’t normally see avocado in burgers, but it added a lovely smooth flavour and was the hero of the dish. The Chipotle Mayo also added a lovely creamy tang to the overall flavours.

We then tried the Erry’thang burger. Like its namesake, this burger had everything; both Southern-Fried Chicken and Ground Beef; Lettuce, Tomato, Double Cheese, Double Bacon, Egg and Smokey BBQ Sauce. This burger was huge in size and packed full of ingredients and flavours and was definitely the burger for those that have a big appetite.

All the burgers were full of flavour and largely proportioned so you know you are getting your money’s worth.

We also tried their sides of Fries, Sweet Potato Fries and Halloumi Chips. All were perfectly cooked and seasoned; the Halloumi being served with sweet chilli sauce that was a lovely hit of spice added to the dishes.

Along with their wide selection of menu items, Burgertec also offer up vegetarian choices and a kid’s menu too.

The overall feel of the place was cool and relaxed with a friendly family service and the modern/retro décor of black, neon green, and orange, gives the store a fresh vibe.

I could see myself becoming a regular just for the food quality and wonderful service.

Burgertec also have the option of UberEats, so you can now taste their yummy burgers without having to even leave your home.

Open from 12-3pm and 5:30-9pm on weekdays, and 12-9:30pm on weekends, Burgertec is perfect for both lunch and dinnertime meals.
