The newly renovated Paradise Hotel official launch was held last Wednesday night, revealing their new modern ‘Isle of Capri’ themed décor and a new complimenting menu.
Following a three-million-dollar renovation, Paradise Hotel is ready to show off its new look and feel, just in time for the festive season.
The highly anticipated re-opening will allow locals to experience a revamped, modernised menu, exclusive outdoor and indoor dining spaces, as well as two entertainment theatre rooms for children or varying ages.
Owner, Greg Maitland, said, “With all the work that has gone in to upgrading the Hotel over the past three months, we now have something to suit everyone.
“We consider Paradise Hotel the perfect destination for any celebration this summer, whether you’re enjoying a few drinks with friends or enjoying a family gathering,” Greg Maitland said.
The newly appointed Head Chef, Matthew De-Cean, and Executive Chef, Chris Wotton, have formulated a vibrant new menu to compliment the Hotel’s island theme renovation.
“The new menu features a variety of modern dishes, but we haven’t forgotten about the good old fashion pub favourites that everyone enjoys. We’re a great suburban hotel with great food offerings,” Matthew De-Cean said.
At the Launch, we got a taste of the wonderful menu that is on offer.
First up were Fresh Pacific Oysters and SA Spencer Gulf Prawns. Guests devoured the plates in seconds, tasting the wonderfully fresh prawns and oysters.
Next served was the Mushroom Aranchini with Tomato Sugo, Smoked Salmon with Crème Fraiche and Chives and Haloumi Fries with Lemon. Each dish was beautifully put together, with the flavours complementing one another. The tomato Sugo with the Mushroom Aranchini was a great combination and the Haloumi was fried perfectly with the thin layer of crunch surrounding the smooth cheese centre.
We then tasted the Peri Peri Chicken Rotisserie Sliders and Mini Cape Bryon Prime Beef Cheese Burgers. The hit of flavours in the sliders, of the succulent chicken and the kick of spice was a hit with the guests and the American style cheeseburgers with melted cheese and pickles paired well with the juicy beef patty.
Lastly we were served up a Coconut Prawn Salad with hot and sour dressing, Panko Calamari with Tartare and Grilled Half Shell Scallops. The seafood again was beautifully fresh and lovely to eat. The Coconut prawn salad had a sweet tone with the roasted coconut but afterwards a kick of spice from the dressing, which paired well. The Calamari was melting in the mouth and was coated with the perfect amount of crumbs. The Scallops too were fresh and beautifully seasoned and cooked.
All dishes on the menu were just as good as the last; the flavourful dishes complimenting the Italian island theme, and perfect for the summer weather.
The mouth-watering menu caters for all ages and dietary requirements, with multiple gluten free, vegetarian and share options available.
The overall refurbishment features a collection of custom designed and eco-friendly materials to create a distinctly relaxed and welcoming ambience.
