Visiting the annual Santos Tour Down Under on Victoria Square in Adelaide on a beautiful summer day, the team at Adelaide Food Central was invited to watch the iconic cooking star Paul West cook and create an amazing beef Wagyu Meatball dish.
Host of Lifestyle channel’s series River Cottage Australia, Paul has established himself to be a successful chef and was invited by Subaru to participate in the Tour Down Under event, where he worked hard in the 30+ degree heat to create some seriously delicious lunch for his spectators.
Today, Paul cooked up Wagyu Meatballs with Creamy Polenta. The meatballs were juicy, moist, tender and very well seasoned. The flavours from the rich tomato sauce were well infused into the meat. Sitting on a bed of soft, creamy polenta, it was the perfect accompaniment for the star of the dish.
We were fortunate enough to meet Paul who was friendly, down to earth and had a zest for cooking. While Paul’s stopover in Adelaide is just limited to a day at the moment, he mentioned that he’d be back for a food festival in April later in the year for a week, so make sure you keep an eye out for his next visit and have the opportunity to meet with this top bloke, while sampling some scrumptious dishes that he makes from scratch!
