I walk past Waffle’s Waffle and Coffee (WWC) every single morning on my way to work. I’ve been meaning to try this place for quite some time. Today was going to be different. I was going to stop waffling past this place and go inside and get me some waffle!

WWC is located on trendy Leigh Street in a nice cosy little store that could seat about 30 people. Waffles are their specialty here, however they also sell coffee, other beverages and a range of breakfast items. The pricing here is fair considering the size of their Belgium waffles. Most recognised dessert places charge a similar price for smaller sized waffles.

Today, I ordered the Chocolate Waffle. The waffle was ready 10 minutes after ordering and was freshly made. The waffle was beautifully made. It was nice and fluffy, crispy on the outside, and soft and moist on the inside. The waffle was smothered in chocolate sauce which tasted a bit odd. The sauce was rather salty and tasted like soy sauce was added. Perhaps I’m getting old and my taste buds are out of whack?

The staff were friendly and inviting, and the service was pretty good. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was most pleasant to stare out the window and watch the world go by. Like others have said, this place is mainly open during the day, however, they are open till 10pm on a Friday night.

I could waffle on all day about this place, but I won’t. Yummy delicious waffles but hold off on the chocolate sauce!
