I’ve seen some pretty grotty places in my time, but this one has to be up there. The floor is absolutely filthy, there are grease marks on the tables and cups and I was even reluctant to sit down on the seat. The place is a hive of bacteria waiting to attack my poor immune system.
The decor here is pretty basic, however the one thing I do like, are the large colourful pictures behind the counter of some of their menu items. It’s really useful to get an indication of what you’re about to order. The pricing here is also very good. Everything seems to be $8.80 or less. I was about to order the Steamed Pork Dumplings where you get 15 dumplings for $7.80. This price is amazing!
So I ordered the Steamed Peking Pork Dumplings. The meals came out after a 10 minute wait and didn’t look that great to be honest. I don’t think you get good looking steamed dumplings from anywhere. The dumplings themselves were pretty tasty. The filling was so mashed up, it reminded me of the meat you find in fritz. If there was fat in there, it was cleverly disguised. The serving was huge and very satisfying.
The dumplings weren’t too bad, but perhaps get them for take away.
