Angry Penguin – Lunch Meal Deal

Enjoy a two-course lunch and a glass of wine for $59

Adelaide Festival Centre’s Angry Penguin restaurant offers an inviting setting for lunch, combining exceptional food, warm hospitality and a picturesque outlook over Karrawirra Parri (River Torrens).

Available Wednesday to Saturday, the lunch offer features a two-course menu by Executive Chef Alex Katsman, celebrating European technique and South Australian produce. Starters include smoked beef tartare, kingfish with pickled sunrise lime, calamari with white miso and charred spring onion, and heirloom baby beetroots with silken cream and pomegranate. Mains range from snapper Nicoise salad to lamb shank Bourguignon, confit duck leg with carrot and kohlrabi, and chargrilled eye fillet with its signature Yorkshire pudding. Guests can also enjoy a glass from a selection of South Australian wines. Some menu items are available at an additional cost.

Inspired by the modernist movement championed by Adelaide poet Max Harris, Angry Penguin channels South Australia’s rich arts history and the creative legacy of artists including Sidney Nolan, Joy Hester and Arthur Boyd. Guests are invited to dine with design, with original artworks, including Sidney Nolan’s portrait of the fictitious Ern Malley, alongside furniture by award-winning South Australian designers Andrew Carvolth and Jon Goulder. The distinctive interiors and river views make the experience as memorable as the menu.

The two-course lunch offer is available Wednesday to Saturday, 12pm to 3pm.
