The 19th edition of Australia’s premier food and beverage festival, Tasting Australia presented by Journey Beyond, returns from 8–17 May.
Following the December launch of Tasting Australia Airlines, Tasting Australia by Road and Tasting Australia by Train – The Ghan Edition, the full program is officially on sale today with more than 150 events across South Australia.
Thoughtfully curated by the Tasting Australia creative team, the program will feature world-class talent with the nation’s leading chefs, makers and producers coming together, with South Australia as the backdrop.
The new program will showcase an impressive lineup of international talent, welcoming American sommelier André Hueston Mack who will share his favourite wines across multiple tastings. Michelin-starred Spanish chefNieves Barragán Mohacho will be on-board the The Ghan. Martin Kjäll from Stockholm’s acclaimed Restaurant AG will cook alongside Jake Kellie in a fire-driven feast and Hong Kong’s Bar Leone (World’s Best Bar at the 2025 50 Best Awards) will take over Adelaide CBD’s Honeydripper in collaboration with Never Never.
As an Australian exclusive, a collective of Europe’s most disruptive chefs, Punk Royale, will bring their infamous playful style and distinctive take on modern dining to Adelaide across two show-stopping events in a CBD hospitality venue and in Town Square.
Town Square will return to Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga to play host to some of the programming highlights and act as the heart of the festival. New to Town Square is Good Neighbour presented by Mitolo Family Farms – Tasting Australia’s very own neighbourhood wine bar situated in the Northern tip that will showcase one-off chef collab events. Expect long tables, signature South Australian hospitality and some of the nation’s top chefs in a city setting.
Adelaide venues will be featured more than ever before, connecting people through shared places, stories and food. This is brought to life through the new Club Series, which invites guests inside Adelaide’s treasured cultural clubs, where Australia’s top chefs collaborate on the menu with local resident cooks, celebrating the culture and community of each venue.
Under One Sky will see Australia’s oldest Aboriginal-owned and operated cultural centre, Tandanya, hosting a celebration of Kungkarrakalpa Tjukurrpa (Seven Sisters Dreaming). As night falls, chefs Mindy Woods, Duncan Welgemoed, Sarah Glover and Alex Crawford come together alongside South Australian winemakers and musicians for an evening of fire, music and art.
Just down the road from Town Square, a simmering takeover of Mr Hotpoter in Hotpot Express will invite guests to assemble their own hotpot using premium South Australian produce delivered in sushi train style.
South Australia’s own, Poh Ling Yeow, will invite food lovers to the heart of Burnside to discover the vibrant flavours of Southeast Asia in Poh’s Table. In a first-of-its-kind experience, feel the rustle of the Savannah without leaving South Australia in the Sip, Savour, Safari: Monarto Safari Resort, an exclusive overnight food and wine adventure in Monarto’s new luxury tents.
