Taste The Yorke, Moonta has won the Best Breakfast

 category at the 2025 Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence for South Australia

Business owner Jo Gibbons says winning this award is a tribute to the dedication and commitment to our Team! Being a finalist was very exciting,  however to take out the category of Best Breakfast was a real achievement.

Jo said that to be recognized as a regional café on Yorke Peninsula has given our team and the community a real sense of excitement and it reflects on the success and hard work our staff all contribute to the Café.

Restaurants, cafés and catering businesses gathered at the sold-out event to celebrate the achievements of the industry and the announcement of this year’s South Australia award winners at SkyCity Adelaide on the 11 August 2025.

The Awards for Excellence is the industries awards program recognised nationally that celebrates exceptional service and culinary talent throughout each state and territory.

Restaurants are assessed on the entire dining experience including, food, beverage, service and restaurant presentation. Caterers are assessed on all aspects of their catering business including operations, food, service, staffing and event and site catering outcomes to determine the category winners.
