King William Road is one of Adelaide’s most iconic shopping and dining destinations, and thanks to Girl About Town we were invited to experience the best of King William Road with a fabulous night held at Hygge Atrium, hosted by one of Adelaide’s much loved celebrities, Rebecca Morse.
We sampled some of the amazing food King William Road has on offer, including delicious pizza from Antica Pizzeria, arancini from Farina 00, and a wonderful charcuterie board from Bottega Rotolo. The Flying Trunk also provided some gorgeous cocktails – my favourite was the strawberry and basil one!
The event focused around a chocolate tasting from chocolatier Steven Ter Horst, matched with some red wine from Tomich Wines. Steven educated us about cacao beans and the process of making chocolate then took us on a culinary chocolate journey, starting with compound chocolate through to very high percentage cocoa – very bitter and not at all tasty! Knowing that we would need a bit of sweetness after experiencing that, we had a merlot chocolate paired with the red wine which was a gorgeous combination. It ended with a salted caramel chocolate truffle – the perfect sweet ending with a great night!
We can’t wait to explore more of King William Road and all of the wonderful experiences they have to offer!
