Myer Centre Adelaide, one of Adelaide’s most iconic buildings and largest shopping centres in the CBD, is excited to announce its newest food retailer Billy’s Lane, which will join its already extensive offerings.
Led by the creator of the successful Bing Boy, Ming Ma, and internationally renowned chef and director, Billy Petropoulos, Billy’s Lane is a hub of four popular eateries; Gelina Milk Bar, Little Pot, Bao and Boneshaker.
With over 20 years’ experience, Billy started his career in Adelaide before travelling and immersing himself in different cultures and cuisines. Billy is now the chef and owner of Billy’s Lane, Boneshaker, 7/3 Burger and Billy’s Table.
“I am excited to share my passion and vision for Asian cuisine with this new offering to Adelaide. Our four eateries are focusing on fresh ingredients and novel experiences. Adelaide locals are always so welcoming to new concepts and I believe they’ll appreciate these new offerings,” Billy said.
Billy is best known for the popular, family-style Boneshaker cafe, which is joining the hub with its hot dogs and burgers. While the burger bar started in Adelaide, it now boasts three restaurants in China and freshly produces its own bread and grinds its own South Australian meat daily.
Gelina Milk Bar will be serving ice cream rolls, cookies, milkshakes, sweet homemade pies and soft serves. Coffee drinkers can even get their beverages with a twist, with the signature cereal milk lattes that come with a choice of Special K Cornflake, Coco Pops milk or Lucky Charms.
Those wanting more Asian-inspired cuisines can enjoy the specialised hot pot bar Little Pot, where you can choose your ingredients and give them to a chef to cook with your choice of broth. Bao offers white, fluffy pillows of steamed buns or bowls filled with your choice of filling. All of their delicious buns, pickles, fillings and sauces are freshly made in-house daily.
Myer Centre Adelaide’s Leasing Executive Sam Miettunen welcomes Billy’s Lane to its food court, “Billy’s Lane gives Myer Centre Adelaide’s food court even more diversity and choice for our customers. It’s quite unique to bring a laneway to a CBD shopping centre. These are innovative concepts which showcase Billy’s talent, with a focus on home-made and fresh ingredients, which aligns perfectly with our current outlets.”
