There’s nothing sweeter than the opening of a new patisserie.
Located towards the city end of Henley Beach Road is Moka European Patisserie. The thing that catches you eye when you first walk in is the colourful pastry cabinet. Everything is made fresh daily and you can select from an array of cakes, biscuits and macarons.
The owners, Lauren Davis and Tony Manousakis are no strangers in the kitchen. Lauren was trained at Le Cordon Bleu, while Tony is an overseas trained pastry chef.
“Everything is made in-house,” Says Davis. “There will be something different on the menu each week.”
The offerings at Moka are not all sweet, you’ll be glad to know you can get pies, sausage rolls, croissants and salads. Future trade in the warmer months will see the introduction of a tapas menu.
Moka is the perfect place to catch up with friends over a sweet treat. We look forward to visiting them again to check out their tapas menu.
Moka European Patisserie is open from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm, and on Sunday from 10:30am to 5pm.
