Third time is a charm as we head back to MiMi to check out their dinner menu.
Grilled Chicken Satay
You really can’t go wrong with a classic chicken satay. Generous strips of perfectly grilled chicken sit on top of a thick peanut sauce. It’s a great way to start off any meal.
Red Curry with Confit Duck Leg
Duck curry has to be one of my favourites. The confit duck leg was perfectly cooked and the meat simply fell off the bone. The sauce had a bit of a kick but was well balanced by the pineapple and cherry tomatoes.
Yellow Curry with Crispy Soft Shell Crab
Another favourite is soft shell crab but this version is in curry form. The crispy pieces of crab were sitting on top of a yellow curry made from red capsicum, celery and onion.
Thai Green Curry with Chicken Breast
Now on to a classic green chicken curry. The chicken was tender and juicy, and was sitting on top of a distinct green curry sauce. To add texture to the dish, there were pieces of broccolini and basil thrown into the mix.
Nation Wide Famous “Pad Thai”
The dish that I order at every Thai restaurant is Pad Thai. On top of the generous serving of noodles were bean sprouts, fried egg, crushed peanuts and garlic chives. Chilli is put on the side for your own personal level of excitement. This healthier version contained three slices of tofu. Lightly coated and fried, it was enjoyable to those who don’t even like tofu.
MiMi’s dinner menu is available Wednesday to Monday from 5:30pm–9pm.
