Electra House – The Ginbucha

Hangovers are set to be a thing of the past with Adelaide’s newest cocktail offering The Ginbucha. Electra House has collaborated with South Australian company UTONIC to develop a kombucha-infused gin cocktail.

The ingenious partnership includes pairing five zero-sugar sparkling kombuchas, from UTONIC, with five gins from Electra House’s extensive menu based on the flavour profile in each kombucha flavour.

Kombucha is quickly replacing kale smoothies and matcha lattes as the newest on-trend health food craze. Meanwhile, gin continues to steadily grow in popularity, with a number of local distillers making waves across the nation. So, it makes absolute sense that these two bevvies have combined to create the Ginbucha at Electra House.

The expert matchings are not only delicious; they will have you feeling much more spritely than usual the next day. If you’ve ever woken up after a big night out desperately seeking a blue Powerade and a drive-thru cheeseburger, while making a pledge to never ever (‘I mean ever this time!’) drink again, this one’s for you.

“We’re so excited to be able to bring our healthier cocktail to Adelaide! Teaming with UTONIC and using their kombucha allows us to make low-sugar gin cocktails, which have all the added health benefits of kombucha,” said General Manager Chad Hanson.

There’s even a non-alcoholic gin on the menu, so that those who don’t drink can enjoy something a little more adult than your standard mocktail.

The new offering will be available from August 4th, when Electra House will be offering the first fifty people through the doors one of the new Ginbucha cocktails on the house.

Gins on offer include: nGintwo Gin + UTONIC Sparkling Pomegranate; Never Never Gin + UTONIC Sparkling Ginger and Tumeric; Star of Bombay Gin + UTONIC Sparkling Mixed Berry; Roku Gin + UTONIC Sparkling Mango; and Non-Alcoholic Seedlip Spiced Gin + UTONIC Sparkling Lemon and Lime.
