The Hindley and HQ, located on the revived West End of Hindley Street which launched in October 2017 opens its doors as a spectacular functions space with options to suit a variety of events of different sizes.
The venue, which has already hosted a range of networking events, engagement and birthday parties, award dinners and corporate events – to name a few; is a sophisticated and fully customisable space boasting a state of the art lighting and sound system that will elevate the setting of any event. HQ Complex can comfortably cater for up to 2,000 guests with its six bars, three dance floors, restaurant, mezzanines and balconies.
“We saw an opportunity to establish a purpose-built, leading live music venue in the heart of the city and, at the same time, add to the revitalisation of West End by providing a quality culinary experience and function space” says Stephen Rose, nightclub Manager and Director, who has over 10 years’ experience with HQ.
Although the space is versatile and can be tailored to suit any event requirements, HQ Complex has five key function areas.
The Main Room is designed for larger-scale events, and with its top of the line light and sound facility and full production capacity, it is the ideal space for expansive corporate functions and events where guests can be seated to dine on HQ’s iconic dance floor. The Mezzanine above overlooks the Main Room, which can be sectioned off with soundproof walls to create a self-contained area with a more intimate setting for cocktail parties, accompanied by its own bar.
The Balcony outside is perfect for balmy Summer functions – the space overlooks the bustling West End and has a capacity of 150 people. Insert a selection of refreshing cocktails, gourmet canapes and a little music and you have the quintessential alfresco party.
For a more intimate environment most suited for sit-down dinners and even cocktail parties, the Booths on the ground floor can be transformed into your own private space and has already hosted many celebrations like Hen’s Nights and milestone birthdays.
Also on the ground floor is the Bar and Dining area which can hold up to 80 guests and can be used as a private but open floor space for casual gatherings, birthday parties, family dinners and company social dinners.
The brand-new kitchen facility run and led by renowned local chef, Shane Piercy offers guests an extensive menu of diverse food offerings for your next event. Choose from canapes created with seasonal ingredients, gourmet two or three course meals or even share style dining, you can be sure to develop a menu to suit your requirement with the help of the accommodating staff.
