The Young Gun of Wine UNCUT event tour is coming to Adelaide on the first Saturday of Summer! Taking over both Mothervine and East End Cellars in Vardon Avenue on December 2nd, the event will showcase some of Australia’s most cutting-edge winemaking. Starting at 12pm, more than 30 winemakers from around Australia will pour more than 60 wines at the three-hour event, to the beats of the Skin Contact DJs.
Both venues will be offering provincial French eats to match the Young Gun’s pours, which guests will be able to purchase on the day.
Michael Andrewartha, East End Cellars: “We here on Vardon Avenue are delighted to host Young Guns of Wine 2017. We have always been supporters of young up and coming winemakers and we have followed the careers of many of the nominees and previous winners closely. We love promoting and drinking such exceptional and energetic wines.”
Established in 2007, the Young Gun of Wine searches for, showcases and celebrates Australia’s young wine talent. This search starts with UNCUT, an up close and unfiltered look at the freshest wines and winemaking in Australia. UNCUT is the place to spot the best new talent and trends in wine.
As wine scribe, Mike Bennie, says, “The UNCUT event series is fun, dynamic and interesting. UNCUT delivers to a community a connection to some of Australia’s finest, most interesting, progressive and wonderfully disparate young winemakers. It’s a not to be missed event on the wine calendar.”
Young Gun of Wine is recognised as “an incubator for emerging talent” by industry leaders, with its annual top winemaker lists reading like a “who’s who of the contemporary wine scene.”
Saturday, 2nd December is the first day of The Ashes Test at Adelaide Oval, so get the day-night cricket off to the right start with a few hours of wine tasting before the first ball. Don’t miss your chance to discover tomorrow’s superstars of wine.
Tickets are $45 and include a Riedel glass valued at $20. Places are strictly limited.
UNCUT Adelaide is happening this Saturday, December 2nd from 12-3pm at both Mothervine and East End Cellars.
