Gypsy Dragon – Media Launch

The opening of Kang Kong earlier this year revitalised the Topham Mall precinct, and the opening of Gypsy Dragon was much anticipated. The night had finally arrived when media and local personalities were invited to the soft opening of Gypsy Dragon. All drinks and food were provided free of charge.

Gypsy Dragon is located on a small alleyway on the side of Kang Kong. Licensed to fit just over a 100 people, this beautiful small space will have live music, DJ’s and premium beers and spirits. Asian inspired cocktails such as the Chinatown Manhattan and Vietnamese Espresso Martini will certainly have people licking their lips.

The laneway bar consists of a custom made outdoor bar and some really cosy seating. The food offerings have been customised from the Kang Kong kitchen, and the snack sized servings have been priced accordingly.

The real focal point of Gypsy Dragon is the grafitti art mural that runs along the entire wall of the outdoor bar. It was done by local artist, Frederico Roldan and features and dragon and geisha.

The Topham Mall area has certainly been revitalised with the number of pop up businesses that have opened up in the area in recent times. The opening of Gypsy Dragon will further add to the vitality and increase the vibrancy of the area. Add the live music and DJ’s, and the cosy surrounds, and this becomes the perfect location for after work drinks or a place to dance the night away.

Gypsy Dragon is open from midday Tuesday to Saturday, and closes at 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
