Nonna’s Pizzeria is a small take away pizza store located just outside the city. Their pizzas comes in 3 sizes; 9, 12 and 15 inches. The pizza categories are “Classic” and “Gourmet” with an impressive total of 48 combinations of toppings to choose from. If you’re not in the mood for pizza, they have a selection of starters, salads, mains, calzones, ribs, wings, pastas, burgers, wraps and even my favourite, AB’s.
For dinner, I ordered the Supreme Pizza. The pizza took 15 minutes to be made and cooked, and looked decent. The toppings were well distributed and their amount was just below generous. Now everybody has their own personal preferences as to what makes a good pizza, but for me this pizza ticked most of the boxes. The crust was thin but not wafer thin, and it was crisp, light and airy. The toppings were of a good quality and their were copious amounts of herbs and garlic on there. It was a delicious pizza!
The service was fast and efficient, and the pricing is slightly higher than what you’d pay in the western suburbs. The cost of my pizza was $11.90, whereas it would probably be under $10 over in the west. Having said that, the execution was pretty good and worth the extra money paid. They certainly have variety at this place and I certainly look forward to trying some of their other offerings.
