It’s been a while since I visited a Fasta Pasta store, mainly because there are so many other places to try. Of course, there are times when things are busy at work, and you want something that’s quick, convenient and edible. The closest store is Brighton which is located in a small complex on the busy Brighton Road.

The pasta section of the lunchtime menu has been streamlined as is already done at most pizza bars. Customers select their choice of pasta (additional cost for gnocchi, tortellini, ravioli and risotto), a choice of 17 sauces and an optional side dish. There is also a selection of pizzas, salads, mains and dishes to share.

For lunch, I ordered the Margherita. The base is too perfectly circular and appears to be pre-made. The basil is strategically positioned so that each slice gets a leaf, as is the bocconcini, which is nicely melted into the base. At $9.90 for a 10 inch pizza, it’s all very simple and perfect for a quick bite.
