Yiros and Health Foods is a food outlet in the Citi Centre Arcade food court. Yiros are their specialty, but they also a range of home style dishes that could be considered healthy.

Today, I ordered the Combination Yiros on a Plate. Prior to putting the meat on my plate, the store attendant performed the kill step. This is when the meat is cooked after being carved to prevent any sort of food poisoning.

The dish itself was nicely presented and was good. The chicken and lamb were kind of fatty, but they had been on the rotisserie long enough such that the meat was crispy. I could argue that the meat was dry, but at the same time, it was also delicious! The meat was well marinated and full of flavour.

The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and there was a generous amount provided. The garlic sauce on the other hand was a huge let down. It was more like a yogurt with no garlic. The sauce wasn’t even the right consistency.

The staff here were friendly and the service was quick. The pricing is better than other places that offer the same dish. If they fix their garlic sauce recipe, this wouldn’t be a bad place to visit.
