We recently had the pleasure of dining at Cumin Club, a restaurant that has earned a loyal following across Adelaide with three convenient locations in Henley Beach, Richmond, and Modbury. Known for its authentic Indian flavours, warm service, and vibrant atmosphere, it’s a place that makes you feel at home while delivering food that excites the palate.

Our evening began with Masala Papad, a light yet flavourful starter. Crisp papad was topped with a refreshing mix of onion, tomato, and spices, delivering a burst of tangy heat with every bite. It set the tone perfectly for what was to come.

Next came the Chilli Chicken, which was a standout. The fried chicken was coated in a hot chilli sauce that packed both flavour and spice. It had just the right balance of heat and savoury depth, making it one of the most addictive dishes of the night.

For mains, we shared a mix of classics and bold curries. The Butter Chicken was beautifully creamy and comforting, with tender chicken pieces in a tomato-rich sauce. It was mild but packed with flavour, and paired wonderfully with rice and naan.

The Beef Vindaloo brought the heat, with its fiery, spiced gravy and melt-in-your-mouth beef. It was robust, hearty, and exactly what vindaloo lovers crave.

To balance things, we enjoyed a fragrant Vegetable Biryani. Colourful, aromatic, and filled with perfectly cooked vegetables, it offered a lighter but equally satisfying option alongside the curries.

Of course, no Indian dinner is complete without naan, and the Cheese and Garlic Naan was indulgent and irresistible. Soft, pillowy bread layered with garlic butter and gooey cheese — it was the ultimate companion to the curries.

Our dinner at Cumin Club was a celebration of spice, flavour, and hospitality. Each dish had its own unique character — from the tang of the Masala Papad to the richness of the Butter Chicken and the fiery kick of the Vindaloo. With locations in Henley Beach, Richmond, and Modbury, Cumin Club makes it easy for anyone in Adelaide to experience authentic Indian cuisine at its best.
