The SA Government has declared 2021 the Year of South Australian Wine and the launch was a party was the ultimate event to celebrate all our amazing wine regions. The Adelaide Street Stomp was an afternoon bustling with great wine, good food and fun activities to get everyone excited about South Australian wine hosted by South Australia’s International German Superstar Hans.
South Australia is well known for its great wines and throughout the year will be many events and promotion to help showcase all wine regions and wineries in our state. At the launch were a select wineries like d’Arenburg, CRFT, Kimbolton, Gentree, Zema Estate, 919 Wines, Islander Estate, Kilikanoon and David Fanzr. d’Arenburg had a great stall where you could blend your own wine and take home at the end!
Local radio Queen Rebecca Morse got into the wine spirit in a grape stomping match with Hans while Merrick Watts entertained with his funny brand of comedy. Catering was by the awesome crew from Sunny’s Pizza where they pumped out delicious pizzas all afternoon.
There were street performers, art sessions, wine tasting, grape stomping and general merriment to celebrate the launch South Australian wine. It was an interactive time of making wine from start to finish. ‘In South Australia we don’t just know how to drink good wine – we know how to make good wine.’
