The sun has finally set on the 2021 Adelaide Fringe at The Royal Croquet Club (RCC). Who would have ever thought that little old Adelaide could host the biggest festival in the world right now during COVID! The closing party was a last hooray to what has been a fantastic month for the RCC which is back in its old stomping grounds of Victoria Square. That’s where it should always be!
Starting off with the award-winning performance of A Simple Space from Gravity and Other Myths. They twisted and tumbled and showcased some amazing acrobatics much to the delights of the family friendly crowd. Stalker Theatre also brought the swinging acrobatics with their high-flying skills.
Chowtown was opened with lots on offer for food options. We stuck with the Antica Pizza while Roberto’s restaurant was booked out til late making this eatery a pretty popular venue to chow down.
By night fall it really turned into a party. The closing parade had staff and artists bringing out the flags dancing their way around the dance zone and stage area to really kick off the night of festivities. The main man everyone was waiting for Late Nite Tuff Guy brought the house down with his mix of club classics that had everyone dancing nonstop!. It was safe to say that the party went on to the wee hours to celebrate what was another great festival season at The RCC.
