What do confetti, dollhouses, and the butterfly effect all have in common? Well, in a nutshell, they’re all part of Ben Hart’s magic show at this year’s Adelaide Fringe!

Staged in The Garden of Unearthly Delights’ bleacher-lined Studio 7, rays of light ominously pierce through the holes of the wooden walls, dimly lighting the darkened room. The entire space exudes blankets of mystery before the show even starts.

The Nutshell is not a show with a string of random unrelated tricks but ones that are seemingly all connected and audiences will see exactly how in the jaw-dropping grand finale. Spoilers aside, Ben effortlessly intertwines his magic with hypnotic narration, tackling some big questions.

However, be warned, The Nutshell is not for the faint-hearted as Ben proves he’s not shy to put a little blood, sweat, and tears into his performance. Though, if you’re brave enough to give him a chance, you’ll be left with a mix of shock, awe, and confusion.
