Here’s to Now music festival held its fifth birthday celebrations at the spectacular Coriole Vineyards in the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsular, on December 29.
The Happy Motel’s annual new years celebration of music, dancing food and wine was surely a commemoration of all that is good in the gardens of Coriole.
The blues, soul, electronic, indie and funk styles of music pleased all listeners with a talented list of artists who got crowds up and dancing all night long.
The line up included; Melbourne hip hop elite Man Made Mountain, Parisian electric jazz superstar FJK, local Adelaide Afrobeat champions Shaolin Afronauts and even two time Grammy-nominated songwriter Nai Palm (Hiatus Kaiyote).
Joining them included; London soul innovator Jordan Rakei, Adelaide songstress Naomi Keyte, Sydney’s soulful hip hop producer Jonti and independent nu soul singer Abbey Howlett.
Food on the night was covered by two of the states most acclaimed hip food brands; McLaren Vale’s finest wood oven pizza makers, Pizzateca, and Adelaide Central Market’s Spanish caterers, Comida.
There was also a sausage sizzle on later in the evening for those who wanted something small and the Devour ice cream truck was serving up their delicious soft serves for dessert.
Coriole wines, partnered with Vale Brewing, had their best selections of new wines and favourites on offer, with both glasses and bottles on sale throughout the night, as well as ice cold beers and delicious cocktails.
There was also a mini pop up cocktail bar, Billy Sunsets, serving sunset themed red drinks to fit the mood when the sun went down.
The spectacular Coriole winery was the perfect place to hold the Here’s to Now festival, with the beautiful views of the vineyards and gardens at sunset, it was the perfect environment to sit with friends, listen to some excellent music and taste wonderful South Australian food and wines.
So why not think about attending next years festival? You will need to get your friends and picnic blankets ready to enjoy a night of wine, food and dancing with some amazing and talented live performances.
