Last night, we attended the official launch of Hey Bianca – Adelaide’s new (and Australia’s only) delivery-only pizza restaurant, located on Pulteney Street in the heart of the CBD.
Its unique business model gives Hey Bianca the ability to pass on the savings to their valued customers, offering gourmet pizzas for up to 20% cheaper than their competitors.
Hey Bianca specialises in round Napoli style and rectangular Sicilian style pizzas, with eleven choices of toppings for Napoli, and six choices of Sicilian so far. It came as no surprise that the simple, yet classic Margherita was the fan favourite of the night, with the crunchy yet fluffy crust and melt-in-your-mouth fior di latte cheese perfectly complementing each other.
The faces behind Hey Bianca, Aman Takhar and Jason Cross, saw a gap in the food delivery market – where businesses were selling exactly the same recipe pizzas for delivery, which would arrive cold and soggy, at the same price as a dine-in experience.
Hey Bianca offers a solution to this problem, doing things like proofing their pizza dough for 48 hours to allow a more airy crust to form which, in turn, allows hot air to travel through the crust, keeping it hotter for longer, while its packed for delivery.
While Aman and Jason are passionate about their food, they are even more so about their community. Inspired by Blake Mycoskie’s famous Toms Shoes venture, for every pizza sold, Hey Bianca also donates a meal to Foodbank SA.
Currently only delivering to the CBD and surrounding suburbs, Hey Bianca is looking at expanding its services very soon, so keep an eye out on their social media! Make sure to also download their app or check out their website here!
To celebrate their official launch, Hey Bianca are giving away full-size Margherita pizzas to the first 100 people to pick them up in-store this Friday 27th October between 11:30am and 2:30pm! Free pizza! Need I say more?
