Adelaide Food Central was honoured to attend Uber Australia’s newest office situated right in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD. All guests raced into the office to admire the building, including its basketball court, outdoor terrace bar and table tennis tables. Greeted by the staff, guests were all welcomed to a professional photograph of their entrance, an open bar and a laden of food and nibbles to share courtesy of Uber Eats.
We firstly tried the scrumptious cheeseburger and vegetarian sliders catered by The Taxpayer in Victoria Square. The burgers were generously sized and oozed in flavour as we took each bite.
It was a pizza lover’s dream tonight with ten different flavour variations provided by Mercato in Campbelltown. We particularly enjoyed the perfectly salted pepperoni, the crisp ortolana (roast vegetables and ricotta) and the richly decadent truffled mushroom pizzas.
To compliment the warm food, Hello Sarnie – located on Pirie Street – provided a vast range of finger sandwiches including tandoori chicken, feta, parmesan and avocado, chicken club and salted beef. Alongside that was Kintaro’s vegetarian platter of variant sushi including inside-out rolls of cucumber and avocado, nori (seaweed) and inari (fried tofu skin).
Guests were invited to watch the red ribbon be ceremoniously cut by Uber Officials as the office officially opened for business. Guests had fun as they danced to the live DJ and took group photos in the ring light photo booth. Adelaide Food Central would like to thank Girl About Town Co for the invitation and Uber Adelaide for their fabulous hospitality. We cannot wait to see Uber continue to expand even further in Adelaide, introducing new jobs and encouraging those to explore our great city.
