Expanding on the success of the Middle Eastern street food cafe Levant Eatery, the owners have opened Not Guilty Blends right next door. The space has been creatively decorated with the use of jail bars to create that ‘not guilty’ feel. The theme continues with the naming of their bowls, blends and smoothies. Of course, if you don’t like any of the suggested combinations, you can create your own.

Today, I had the Crime of Passion blend – a combination of apple, orange, mango, passionfruit and broccoli. A lot of natural sweetness in this drink and you hardly even notice it has broccoli in it.

The face of Hindley Street is slowly changing, and as it becomes more cosmopolitan, there’s a need for smoothie bar in the area. Not Guilty Blends fills that void and provides university students and nearby workers a place where they can get that health fix.

Not Guilty Blends is open Monday to Friday from 8am-2pm.
