Walking along Hindley street on a Friday night, you might just miss Big Window. The understated entrance features – surprise, surprise – a big window and a neon sign that invites you into this cosy club.
The interior features black-and-white checkered floors, wooden panels, exposed brick walls and neon lighting. It’s very 70’s – and this vibe is completed non-stop, with 70’s style disco music. The DJs play all the fun stuff, which makes Big Window a great place to go if you want to dance to music you actually know for once.
Big Window is a little classier than your average Hindley street club. The drink menu features all the favourites, as well as a range of Alpha Box & Dice wines, Prancing Pony ales, and a few house cocktails with interesting names… asking for the ‘Whatever’ led to a little confusion on opening night, as the new bartenders were still getting used to the new menu! Although it’s small, Big Window has a fair amount of lounging space, which is great if you’re not sure whether you want to spend your night at a bar or club.
Check out this new club down Hindley on Friday and Saturday nights; especially if you’re looking for a change of scene from the usual ‘doof doof’ music.
