The Sakai in SA Cocktail Meet and Greet was held tonight at Ginza Miyako in order to celebrate the arrival of the celebrity chefs and to toast the crew for a successful charity culinary project. Media, sponsors, friends and guests were invited to help celebrate the occasion. All food and drink were provided free of charge.
The Sakai in SA charity gala dinner will be held at the Skycity Adelaide Casino on the 13th and 14th of October 2015. The event will present a degustation created by legendary chef Hiroyuki Sakai from Japan and joined by a team of high profile chefs: Executive Chef Ikuei Arakane from The Glass House, Executive Chef Mark Normoyle from RACV, Executive Pastry Chef Pierrick Boyer from Le Petit Gateau, and Head Chef Kazuki Ushiro from Ginza Miyako.
The objectives of the Sakai in SA project is to profile Australian produce, South Australian wines, Japanese whiskey, beer and sake. It also aims to connect the culinary and cultures between Australia and Japan, raise funds for Opportunity International Australia and to promote Adelaide on a national and global level.
As usual, the team at Ginza Miyako were able to put up a lovely spread to celebrate the occasion. As for the Sakai in SA charity gala dinner, few tickets remain at the time of writing.
