The new look for Adelaide’s permanent container bar was revealed tonight with the official launch of “Laneway IV”.
Into its fourth season, “Laneway IV” is set to be bigger and better with a unique gin garden. It’s like you’ve entered a garden oasis that is particularly focussed on gin.
DJ’s will be playing every weekend and patrons can enjoy a few gin cocktails while dancing the night away. Alternatively, they can chill out in one of the many upstairs areas.
Local architects, Studio-gram are responsible for the fitout which are a reflection of the ambience and philosophy of “Laneway IV”.
Laneway offers 12 boutique gins paired with unique condiments that include classic gin and tonic infusions.
As part of the launch, we got to sample some delicious snacks to compliment the gin cocktails. The Caramelised Onion and Blue Cheese on Toast was a great combination. The sweetness of the onion was balanced by the sharp taste of the cheese.
The Fresh Oysters in Gin was an interesting combination. The hints of juniper overpowered any flavours of the sea you would expect from the oyster. Silky and smooth in texture, the shot went down a treat.
The last snack that I had was the Salmon Mousse in a Wafer Cone. The mousse was smooth and creamy with a strong salmon flavour. The wafer cone was nice and crispy, and added a varied texture to the snack.
Laneway IV will be open from 4pm till late every Friday and Saturday night, and in December, will be open from Thursdays to Sundays during the same times. Bookings can also be made to ensure that you don’t miss on seats at your new favourite venue.
As part of the ever expanding Adelaide bar scene, Laneway IV will be perfect for those warm Summer nights, an after work drink, or just a place to chill.
