The Adelaide Food Central team along with several of our other blogger friends were invited for lunch at Feed Jetty Road in Glenelg. All food and drink were provided free of charge.

Feed does a mean, made to order, freshly squeezed juice. You can choose from a mix of fruits and vegetables that includes cucumber, pineapple, apple, orange, pear, lemon, carrot, celery and mint. I opted for an orange and pineapple combination. The juice tasted freshly-squeezed, full of natural sugars from the good quality fruits used and was a refreshing healthy quencher for the warm day. The juice itself looked very appealing with its vibrancy of natural colour from the fruits.

They have a good range of burgers whether you are a fierce meat eater or a vegetarian. I chose the Pumpkin Mushroom Burger with chips as I was in need of some vegetables in my diet after my higher than normal consumption of meat in the last few days. The chips were golden in colour, crunchy and tasty. A simple side done perfectly. The brioche bun itself had a beautiful, glistening glaze. The bun was sweet and buttery, moist, eggy, absolutely full of flavour. Yet they were still light and not heavy. The chunky pieces of pumpkin and eggplant were nicely grilled. The perfect grilling left both vegetables to be lovely caramelised in order to let the flavours of the vegetables shine through. The crispy lettuce added a layer of freshness and texture to the burger. The basil pesto was very fresh, herby, with that good amount of nuttiness from the pine nuts. The relish was sweet, bursting with that tomato flavour and tangy. It was also a little chunky which gave the burger another layer of texture to it.

The coffee was smooth, had a high intensity of flavour that was nicely balanced out with the addition of ice and a generous amount that indulgent, fluffy whipped cream. Absolutely delicious! Perfect for a hot summer’s day.
It was definitely an enjoyable day out having lunch with our fellow blogger friends. The food itself was nicely presented and the service was fantastic. Special thanks to the staff for being very attentive, friendly and patient with us. The portions here are very generous considering the price for most of the burgers were priced under $12. But I must say what stood out for me the most were the drinks on offer here. I can see myself coming here more often for the freshly squeezed juices, ice coffees and to try out the rest of their scrumptious vegetarian burgers.
