As someone who spends nearly everyday eating out, I’ll be the first to say that my diet is shocking. Having heard about Nettle Raw, Adelaide’s first raw and vegan cafe, I was excited about eating something healthy for a change. This quaint little store is located in the western suburbs just around the corner from Krispy Kreme. It has an extensive raw and vegan menu, as well as a range of healthy lattes, teas, smoothies, shots and pressed juices.
For lunch, I ordered the Raw Pad Thai Salad off the specials board. The dish was ready after a 10 minute wait and was nicely presented. Full of fresh, crisp and crunchy vegetables, this salad screams nothing but healthy. The coconut peanut sauce was the highlight which brought all the ingredients together, unfortunately, I felt there wasn’t enough of it.
The staff were really friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was reasonable. The dishes range between $10-$16 which is fantastic because healthy food usually costs more. This cafe will be a delight for those that want something healthy.
