Spargo’s is located on the second level of the Westfield Marion shopping complex and has been around for as long as I can remember. As far as the food goes, there is a basic breakfast menu that goes till 11:30am. From 11am, there is a selection of salads, wood fired pizzas, pastas, foccacias, piadinas, schiacciatas.

The decor is very casual and well presented. The things I love about this place are the high ceilings and the natural light that flows through the floor to ceiling windows. It is fairly spacious with plenty of seating both inside and out.

For lunch, I ordered the Spargos Pizza which consisted of ham, pineapple, mushroom, salami and capsicum. The pizza arrived 15 minutes after ordering and was average in presentation. The base was inconsistent in shape and thickness, however, it did have lovely wood fired smokey flavours. The capsicum was very conservatively applied, while the sweetness of the pineapple was well balanced by the saltiness of the salami. It was a good pizza.

The staff were friendly and the service was pretty good. Meals arrived promptly and plates were cleared as I finished. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was reasonable considering it’s located inside a shopping centre. The cost of the pizza was $19.90 which is more than what I’d usually pay for a 10 inch pizza, but it did have quality toppings and was tasty.
While there are negative reviews about other items on their menu, I can say their pizza is good.
