Novar Espresso Cafe is located in a small shopping complex on Morphett Road in Novar Gardens. Located at the rear of the complex, this quaint little cafe serves up a basic breakfast menu, foccacias, lepinja bread, baguettes, wraps, sandwiches, burgers and salads.

This cafe is deceptively spacious and can easily seat up to 30 people. With standard cafe style chairs and tables, the place holds no surprises. It also gets its fair share of natural lighting.

For lunch, I ordered the Steak Sandwich. The meal was ready after a 15 minute wait and was average in presentation.
I was initially impressed by how big and hearty this steak sandwich was. The strips of steak were lean and tender, and the lean cuts of bacon were fried until crisp. The fried egg was cooked sunny side up with the runny yolk dripping down the side of the sandwich. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, while the tomato was ripe and juicy. A perfect amount of tomato sauce was added to make this steak sandwich very satisfying.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was reasonable. The Steak Sandwich set me back $9.40 which was good value considering it’s size and quality. The most expensive item on their menu is their Big Breakfast which is $13.90 and that comes with a tea or coffee.
Came here with low expectations but left pleasantly surprised.
