Boho Bar is located close to the beginning of Unley Road as you head out from the city. If you like circus themed decor than this is the place for you. I’ve been here for drinks on previous occasions but never for food. With their half price lunches on selected items, I felt this was a perfect opportunity to check them out. The menu is a combination of tapas, modern Australian and typical pub meals.

Today, I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. The meal was ready after a 15 minute wait and was nicely presented. Diameter wise, the schnitzel was of a good size, however, upon closer inspection, it was kind of thin. The chicken was tender and succulent, and really well cooked. You could visibly see the juices flowing from the meat as I cut into it. There was thick layer of Napoletana sauce that had appropriate coverage on the schnitzel. The sauce was thick on consistency and had a rich tomato flavour. The mozzarella topping was generous and it was nicely browned under the grill.
The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and an adequate amount of dressing was applied. The chips were well cooked. Nice and crunchy on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside.

My friend had the plain Chicken Schnitzel and I heard no complaints from him.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed, although it did start to get a bit noisy as the lunch crowd rocked up. The pricing is reasonable, particularly with the half price lunch deals. My meal set me back $13.90 which is about the normal price you’d pay at some pubs. The normal price would have been $23.80. In this case, I would have expected double the portion size.
My meal wasn’t too bad. The chicken was a bit thin but you are paying half price. A place worth considering for a cheap lunch.
