A new Cocolat has opened at Henley Beach and is conveniently located metres away from the beach. Situated in a long and narrow store, the venue itself is deceptively large. With such a small frontage, I did feel the place lacked natural light towards the rear of the building.

Today, I had their Baileys Embrace. The milk chocolate mousse filling was silky smooth and you could taste a hint of the Irish cream. The dark chocolate ganache was rich and decadent and it sat on top of a fudge base. The dessert was covered in yummy white chocolate pieces. On top was a white chocolate shard that had little toffee pieces inside to give it that added crunch.

The staff here at this location were not very friendly as nobody greeted us or showed us to our table. The dessert took a good 30 minutes to arrive yet there were hardly any customers in the store. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was the same as their other stores.

Not the best experience at this place. I won’t be back.
