It’s incredibly important to support the health and wellbeing of local business in Adelaide. Truth is that it’s tough to compete with the economic and occupational pull that Sydney and Melbourne have and the more we fall behind the more young people have no choice but to leave Adelaide.
Renew Adelaide for a number of years have been trying to revitalise Adelaide by filling the many empty spaces that dot the city. Öösel has slowly built a strong following online of fans who adore stylish and comfortable sleepwear. With the help of Renew Adelaide, Öösel is ready to take the next step in leading the resurgence of traditional and elegant sleepwear.
Entirely designed from start to finish by Lauren Puvi. A native Adelaidian who moved to Sydney to pursue her dreams in the fashion industry. After several years working within fashion and jewellery for brands like Scanlan Theodore and Sarah and Sebastian, Lauren decided to strike out on her own and seek her dreams of realising her own designs and spreading her love for sweet dreams in luscious silk.
Laurens experience in Sydney has imparted a few ideologies that she embodies in her brand. The desire for the highest quality products while remaining local and sustainable. All her silks are sourced from reputable mills within Australia.
Öösel is named after the Estonian translation for ‘at night’ and aims to represent the heritage of Laurens family. With this name, Lauren and Öösel look to exemplify a new wave of an old wave of those that want the utmost style in sleepwear and beyond. Believing that women should be in absolute comfort no matter their environment.
With the help of Renew Adelaide, Öösel is now expanding their horizons with their new retail store in the heart of the city. Located at 18 Ebenezer Place, just off of Rundle St, in a area which is becoming trendier and more chic as time goes on. Öösel looks to keep the train rolling of evolving Adelaide in a more modern and smart space. Check out their site here.
Öösel is open Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-6pm, Friday 10am-7pm, Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 11am-5pm.
